On August 20th Minor Threat is travelling to Albuquerque for a combined practice and scrimmage with the Duke City Marionettes! This will be the first road trip for Minor Threat, and the first time either league has played with another group. Level 1, 2, and 3 skaters in good standing are welcome to attend; we also have a number of adult coaches and volunteers travelling with us.
The Duke City Marionettes is a group of female players aged 12-17; they’ve been organized semi-formally since early 2011 as a team within Duke City Derby, Albuquerque’s WFTDA adult league. Sam and Sirius had the chance to meet a few of the Marionettes and their coaches at the Duke City bout on August 6th; Minor Threat is beyond excited to be able to practice and scrimmage with them next weekend!
